本月6-7号,我们公司2007年度新品发布在北京/上海成功举办了。5日在汉城,随后的台北皆成功。在汉城,共有十几家媒体悉数到场,这在韩国是个相当好的作品。北京在嘉里中心,上海在瑞吉红塔,我们的CEO,ChrisRowen亲自到场。让我们团队每一位成员欣喜是,无论客户还是媒体,在三年之后,我们清楚地看到对TENSILICA公司以及我们所拥有的技术越来越明确的信心,和积极地肯定。

Tensilica公司今天发布业界最小32位可授权处理器–钻石标准处理器106Micro。106Micro在130/90nm G制程下占用面积分别为0.26/0.13mm2,比ARM7和Cortex-M3都要小,性能却可达到1.22DMIPS/MHz, 高于ARM9E提供的性能。低功耗设计的106Micro处理器主要用于SOC中完成控制任务,同时也是从8/16位控制器向32位处理器过渡的理想选择。
Tensilica总裁及首席执行官Chris Rowen博士表示,“无数SOC设计,皆追求尽可能小的微控制器来协调各部分任务的执行,特别是在已经包含一个或多个重量级应用处理器的系统里,一个低成本低功耗的控制器必不可少。借助于Tensilica可配置处理器专利技术,我们迅速开发出106Micro该款业界中管脚最少的处理器。”
钻石标准处理器106Micro为一款超低功耗,不带cache的控制器。5级流水线结构使其主频在130G制程下能够轻松达到250MHz,90G征程下更可达到400MHz。采用独有的24/16位短指令,使其代码密度大大高于其它32/16位处理器。106Micro的面积与性能数据如下表所示:

</td></tr></tbody></table>106Micro在面积与功耗参数上优于其它32位微控制器,同时也能提供完备的控制功能。其采用经典的哈佛结构,使指令与数据RAM分开以减少内存冲突,并提高关键代码与中断服务子程序的执行效率,RAM大小根据用户需要最大可扩展至128KB。此外,还包括用于计算的32位乘法器、用于调试的跟踪端口、集成的定时器以及可提供快速复杂中断处理的中断资源(2级共15个中断)。
106Micro管脚数目比ARM7和Cortex M3都要少,但能提供与ARM9相当的性能。

Tensilica钻石系列标准处理器全部基于Xtensa可配置可扩展的处理器架构,此架构已应用于120多家客户的250多款芯片设计中进行检验。若客户对某个型号的钻石标准处理器感兴趣,同时又希望针对其应用特点作进一步剪裁,则可放心升级到Xtensa可配置处理器,两者软件完全兼容。
