Personal Statement

My interest in science could dates back to my years in high school, at that time, I was excelled in physics, chemistry, and math, When I was a senior, I took a calculus course as my math teacher required and I earned an A at last. So after the college entrance examination, it is quite logical that I select electrical engineering as my major, and I will complete my master degree in Control Engineering from Shangdong University At Weihai in July, 2013.

When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to study a full range of courses about electrical engineering, and all of those courses tended to reinforce and enhance my intense interest in engineering. I acquired fundamental knowledge and practical application of electrical engineering. I was awarded a university fellowship with honors for every semester. My overall GPA ranked in the top ten percent of my class. I've also had the opportunity to study a number of subjects in the humanities and which have been both enjoyable and enlightening, providing me with a new and different perspective on the world in which we live, My other interests include music and sports, such as volleyball, basketball and tennis.

In the realm of electrical engineering, I have developed a special interest in the field of integration of circuits and have been taking courses about digit circuit, analog circuit, operational amplifier, Microprogrammed Control Unit and PCB design. Although I liked my classes, my internship experiences really confirmed my interest in electrical engineering, last summer, when I was a temporary technical assistant in a local company, I learned about its many practical applications, especially in relation to MCU programming and PCB design, also, I learned the latest technologies in micro-processing systems, personal responsibility and teamwork. Management in this company was so impressed with my work that to ask whether I would like to return when I graduate. Following completion of my current studies, I would like to work in the area of research and development for private industry. My personal attributes include great originality and creativity, I am not afraid to face any challenges. I have an indomitable willpower that helps me to overcome difficulties and an enterprising spirit that helps me find innovative solutions to difficult problems. I believe I can make the greatest contribution, utilizing my theoretical background and creativity. 

I am highly aware of the superb reputation of your company, and my conversations with several of your schoolfellow have served to deepen my interest in attending, also, I am specifically interested in the efficient implementation of the high-speed modulator/demodulator for a wireless telecommunications environment and in implementing a VLSI digital signal processing system for telecommunications applications, which are two major research fields of your company as I know. As I am well trained and broadly experienced in electrical area and computer science, you may find me more than qualified for this position. If so, I would be grateful to your appreciation and would like to hear any advice that you may have for me. In addition to your excellent faculty, your hardware facilities are among the best in the state. I hope you will give me the privilege to continue my studies and start my working career in your company.
