  ETL是美国电子测试实验室(Electrical Testing Laboratories)的简称。ETL试验室是由美国发明家爱迪生在1896年一手创立的，在美国及世界范围内享有极高的声誉。同UL、CSA一样，ETL可根据UL标准或美国国家标准测试核发ETL认证标志，也可同时按照UL标准或美国国家标准和CSA标准或加拿大标准测试核发复合认证标志。右下方的"us"表示适用于美国，左下方的"c"表示适用于加拿大，同时具有"us"和"c"则在两个国家都适用。    任何电气、机械或机电产品只要带有ETL标志就表明此产品已经达到经普遍认可的美国及加拿大产品安全标准的最低要求，它是经过测试符合相关的产品安全标准；而且也代表着生产工厂同意接收严格的定期检查，以保证产品品质的一致性，可以销往美国和加拿大两国市场。
