        “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. [24]I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. [25]The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. ”

        仅仅落在土里是不够的，还必须死去。唯有这样，一颗种子才能结出更多的种子。当种子发芽之时，便是种子死去之时。因为它不复保持作为一颗种子的原始状态。它除非向世界展开它自身，否则它无法死去，而会一直保持着最为原始的状态，一种仅是蕴含着生命力的静止状态。

        还可以留意一下“in this world”这个修饰语，以及“love”与“hate”的相对使用。这里的“hate”，恐是不满之意。不满足于在此世之生，方可获得救赎，达至永生。而“love”，或可解释为“自满自足”，一颗种子是可以自满自足的。不知道其古文本为何，通过NIV这个英文译本，不怎么能够体会到其微言大义，或者在那个地域那个时代，不像孔夫子那般喜欢玩春秋笔法那套微言大义的做派。搞不清楚，不过，我还是希望里面有点微言大义的。
