The speed of the USB 3.0 can up to 10Gbps
In the time of 8th Jan,2013, it is reported by the foreign media that USB 3.0 Promoter Group released new specification for the USB 3.0 in the GES meeting. The new specification indicates that the speed of the data transmission can reach 10Gbps, it is twice the speed compare with the present speed. Although this new specification will be finished in the middle of this year, there are parts of the project preview will come out since 7th, Feb.
The newest specification for the USB 3.0 was originated first by Intel and Microsoft in October, 2008. This regulation contains USB2.0. Theoretically the speed can reach 5Gbps. Since the regulation for the USB2.0was released in April, 2000, it has been thru 8 years before it reaches USB3.0. For the new regulation for the USB 3.0, the speed increased to 10Gbps, which is close to the speed of thunderbolt.
