原创 Show me the funniest/goofiest/spoofiest sci-fi video on YouTube

I have no idea why, but I just started thinking as to what would be the funniest and/or goofiest and/or spoofiest science fiction video on YouTube...

Of course there are a few old favorites that immediately spring to mind. For example, there's the classic Eddie Izzard sketch about Darth Vader in the Death Star canteen featuring little Lego characters. No matter how many times I see this it always makes me laugh my socks off.

In fact, my friend "Little Steve" (who is visiting from England) is sitting in my office and I just set this video running on my iPad and he's now happily chuckling away to himself (Click here to see this video).

And do you remember my blog from a few weeks ago about that short science fiction story 'They're Made Out Of Meat' by Terry Bisson? In addition to the hard copy version of this story, I managed to find a couple of videos that were rather good.

The thing is that there are a whole bunch of really funny science fiction spoof videos out there. Check out the following examples and see what you think"

The first is a "Star Trek meets Monty Python" type thing. Titled Python Trek: Who Mourns for Frenchmen? This is an absolute hoot! Of course you have to be familiar with the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and with the original Star Trek series ... but if you are you will laugh your socks off (so you'd better don a pair of elasticated socks before viewing).

Here's another "Star Trek meets Monty Python". Once again, this involves the soundtrack from Monty Python and the Holy Grail combined with some really great editing of clips from the original Star Trek TV series.

This "Scottish Star Trek" spoof is really funny, but the accents are so strong that I think you'd have to be from Britain or of Scottish decent to have a clue what they are saying.

And last but not least (for the moment), we have "Doctor Who meets Fawlty Towers". This involves some very clever splicing between episodes from the old English comedy series Fawlty Towers and the more recent incarnation of the British science fiction series Doctor Who.
