Optimization of torque characteristics-adaptive switching angle
In a switched reluctance motor drive, the average torque and torque ripple are affected by the switching angle and the motor phase current waveform. These characteristics change as the motor speed changes. In many applications, for example, the drive of electric vehicles, it is very desirable to have the highest torque/ampere ratio and the lowest torque ripple, which is within the widest possible speed range. According to the function of the motor current and speed, the torque characteristics of the switched reluctance motor can be optimized by using appropriate pre-calculated conduction angle and shut-off angle. The best value of the best angle can be stored in a two-dimensional lookup table.
