Having a high ping really does not change much in this game(The Chronicles of Spellborn Gold), not even in pvp. Do not really see what the problem is there are multiple ways to lower it in the support forums. Someone posted a script which lowered mine by 200 or so. When playing a melee type against a ranged fighter we usually close in on the archer but our melee attacks do not hit him, because the archer has moved already and is not where we see him.

That causes problems in PvE. We do not PvP much due to lack of of opponents, but we guess you can already see what kind of handicap. We would have to live with. We will look at the mentioned script though when we can find it. Edit: Did set the TcpAckFrequency and now the ping is between 220-280 ms. We still have to see how that works out, but it still is not as good as when we played(TCOS Gold) on European servers (40-100 ms) for sure.

Conclusion: The TcPAckFrequency setting does not improve the experienced response of the game, which perhaps is no wonder; the setting only forces the acknowledgement to be sent after receiving the first packet of the response over tcp and therefor does not necessarily improve performance.
