Minimum Energy Coding with Application to RF Transmission

Abstract
Energy e cient RF transmission is accomplished by devising a novel source coding algorithm for symbols with known statistics. Throughout the history of communications, the trend has been towards faster transmission. Thus, traditional source coding aims to achieve maximum compression to optimize transmission rate. Recent popularity of wireless communication devices, however, is requesting energy e cient RF transmission techniques.
