Electromagnetic wave : Voltage and current are not spatially uniform on circuit and board at microwave frequency (circuit size > λ/10). Distributed Circuit Model : If the line can be subdivided into elements of extremely small length, over which voltage and current can be assumed to remain constant, then the Kirchhoff’s laws can be applied to that small dimension.
