High Frequency Reference Design (HFRD) 20.2 is a fully functional 1310nm EML transceiver targeted for the XFP multi-source agreement (MSA). The design showcases the Maxim MAX3991 clock/data recovery IC with integrated limiting amplifier, the MAX3992 transmit data retimer with equalizer, the MAX3941 EML driver and the Dallas DS1862 XFP Laser control/digital diagnostic IC.
