Introduction
The commercial drive for low-cost, compact, and long battery life handsets, along with the requirements for multiband (for internetwork roaming), multislot EDGE (for higher data rates) functionality, has motivated significant advances in the GSM radio subsystem, including its antenna and IC constituents.
